Academic Leadership changes in Pathology and Laboratory Medicine
Effective December 31, 2014 Dr. Jessica Shepherd has stepped down as Program Director of the Anatomical Pathology Residency Program. Jessica has been in this role for over seven years, during which time she has assured that the residents in the AP program received the best possible educational experience. The department thanks Jessica for her dedication and hard work in this program.
We are happy to announce that Dr. Aaron Haig has agreed to take on the role of Program Director of the Anatomical Pathology Residency Program, effective January 1st, 2015. We are confident that with the support of our faculty and staff, Aaron will ensure that the accreditation standards defined by the RCPSC and policies set by the Schulich Postgraduate Medical Education office will be maintained.
In order to take on his new role, Dr. Haig will step down as Director of Continuing Professional Development in our department. An announcement will follow shortly with regard to this portfolio.
